Q: What discounts are available?

MedEntry offers several ongoing discounts: The Premium Group - allows two or more friends to each buy a Premium package at a discounted rate. Once two or more students have each purchased their own Premium Group package they can form a group and have access to all the benefits of a Premium Individual package. The Premium Group is not available for Headstart packages. Last Year's Student discount - is automatically applied when buying the next UCAT preparation package within 12 months of the last package expiring and using the same email login as before. This discount does not apply to a Premium Group package or any of the Headstart packages. The Teacher / Principal Nominated UCAT bursary - is available to students who are nominated by their current or past teacher / careers adviser / principal. This is for the single year Premium Individual package. Schools can nominate one student per year. This is for the medical interview training bundle. Schools can nominate one student per year. I’ve just bought a new package. How can I reset my past questions?

Purchasing a new package does not automatically reset your attempts from your previous package. You can reset your attempts in one of two ways.

You can reset your own attempts by following the steps below:

While logged into MedEntry’s Online Learning Platform click your name/avatar in the top right corner and click on ‘Settings’
Click on ‘Reset Past Attempts’ and choose what you want to reset

Contact MedEntry and ask us to reset it for you along with what you want to reset.

When is the best time to begin preparation for UCAT?

When to begin UCAT preparation is a difficult question and one that is very individual.

Many students prefer to get started early given that: a) they realise they are going to be exceptionally busy in year 12 and b) they realise how important the UCAT is (i.e. often as important, or even more important, than ATAR)

Around 25% of our students are in year 11, and 10% are in year 10, and continue their preparation into year 12. Getting started early means reducing the stress/workload in year 12 when students will have less time for UCAT study. Furthermore, the skills required to succeed in the UCAT are best developed over time.

There are various options available to you.

Option 1: You may choose to purchase a package that begins from the moment of purchase until you sit the UCAT exam. For more information see: https://www.medentry.edu.au/ucat-headstart

Option 2: On the flipside, of course, cost may be an issue. We offer students access to online materials until the end of the next UCAT cycle (mid-August). After that, to continue to access materials, you would need to re-enrol. How do I book a UCAT workshop?

To book yourself into one of the UCAT Workshops you will need to ensure that you have bought one of the following:

UCAT Workshop*
The Premium - Individual Package
The Premium - Group Package**
The Comprehensive Package

*You will need to buy the Essential Package along with it. **You can only book the UCAT Workshop after your group is complete.

Once you have ensured you meet one of the above conditions you can book yourself into one of the available UCAT Workshops. You can do this by the following steps:

In the left navigation bar, click on the ‘Live Events’
Click on ‘Dr. Ray’s Workshop’
Click ‘Book’ to view available dates
Select the date of the workshop you would like, and then click confirm.

What is the Casper Test?

Casper stands for Computer-Based Assessment for Sampling Personal Characteristics. The Casper test is crucial if you’re applying to Curtin medicine (undergraduate), Notre Dame (post graduate) or Wollongong (post graduate) because these universities use the results to choose which applicants to interview. By assessing how you would react to certain situations, the test helps schools find applicants that are best suited to a career in medicine. The Casper test is 90–110 minutes in length. It requires students to respond to open-ended questions concerning the given scenarios, which are presented both in writing (students write three responses over five minutes) and as videos (students record two one-minute videos). How many people do I need to form a group

Accepted Answer

A group must consist of at least 2 members (you and one other). You can, however, invite more friends to join the group - up to a maximum of fifteen.
